:: Dance 14::The MV has been filmed successfully and Daren’s first album is scheduled to be released 2 months later. The album’s first hit is a song titled ‘Dance’. The song is more of R&B and is rather fast-paced. Katherine changed out of her dancing clothes as she hummed the song. “It’s finally recorded!” Wendy’s voice streamed in from the other cubicle. “Uh huh! No more tiring rehearsals!” Lucy replied. Katherine walked out of her cubicle and started applying make up. “Shall we celebrate later?” Katherine asked as she applied eye shadow. “Not a bad idea!” Madeline said as she emerged from her cubicle. Lucy and Wendy came out from their cubicles too and the bunch of girls were laughing and joking as they stood in front of the mirror fixing their hair and applying their cosmetics.
The girls had chosen a high class restaurant to celebrate and were enjoying their food when Lucy spotted Josephine and Daren coming in. “Don’t look back!” Lucy warned Katherine. Humans are curious beings. The more someone tells you not to do something, the more you want to do it. As soon as Lucy finished her sentence, Katherine turned in curiosity and she lost her appetite immediately. Josephine and Daren had seen them and Josephine is grinning at Katherine as Daren pulled out her chair for her. “Told you not to look!” Lucy chided. “Shall we go?” “No. you guys continue to eat. I’m going to the restroom.” Katherine said and stood up. As she walked passed Daren’s table, Josephine kept smiling victoriously at her, obviously happy that she had spoilt Katherine’s night.
Katherine splashed her face with cold water and looked at herself in the mirror. With a sigh, she took out her make up kit and starting reapplying her make up. Josephine walked in and washed her hand at the sink beside Katherine. “Having your dinner?” Josephine asked in a friendly manner that sent chills down Katherine’s spine. “Uh huh.” Katherine quickly washed her hands again and is starting to walk towards the door. “Enjoy your dinner.” Katherine said as she placed one hand on the door.
“Don’t you think Daren looks very compatible with me?” Josephine cut in before Katherine could open the door.
“What do you want?” Katherine snapped and twirled around, face to face with Josephine.
“Nothing much. I just wanted to hear you say that we look very compatible that’s all.”
“Please stop harassing me!”
“What did you say? Harassing? Ha! And you dare say I’m harassing you when you are the one harassing Daren! What are you doing in his house when the both of you broke up so long ago? You slut!” Josephine sent a stinging slap across Katherine’s face and left a red mark there. Tears are starting to well up in Katherine’s eyes. “Shut up!” Katherine shouted angrily. “You’ve no right to scold me a slut! Apologise!” Before Katherine could react, Josephine sent another slap across Katherine’s face. Katherine tried to fight back but was no match against Josephine’s strength. Josephine pinned Katherine onto the ground and had her knee on Katherine’s stomach, causing her much discomfort and pain. Katherine bared her teeth and bit deep into Josephine’s hand. Josephine grimaced in pain and finally released Katherine. Making use of this chance, Katherine stood up and fled from the restroom.
Katherine knocked right into Daren as she ran out of the restroom. “Kat? What happened?” Daren said as he looked at the Katherine in his arms. She had covered her face with her hands and is shivering. “Kat?” Daren asked again. Katherine’s body continued to shake violently but there was no answer from her. Daren reached out and pulled down the hands covering Katherine’s face. To his astonishment, both of Katherine’s cheeks were pink and the mark of a palm could be seen clearly. “Kat! What happened to you?” Daren shook her shoulders. “Josephine… She slapped me…” She said in between sobs. “Josephine did this to you?” Katherine nodded her head and buried her face into Daren’s chest. A few people had gathered around them and the manager of the restaurant is trying to disperse them. “Let’s go home.” Daren lifted Katherine off the ground and carried her towards the exit.
“Kat? How are you feeling now?” Daren said as he walked into the living room with a cup of water. “I’m okay now.” Katherine replied with a smile. Her cheeks are still pink but definitely better than just now. Daren had told her the whole story and they are now together again. “We will fight against Josephine together. We’ll be together.” Daren promised. Katherine could only nod happily, unable to believe that this is really happening to her.

“Daren Kang Kai Jie! I will never forgive you! And Katherine Cheng Hui Lin… I’ll make you pay for this!” Josephine shouted with her hands clenched tightly into a fist. “Hahahahahaha…” Josephine’s wicked laughter filled the air. “Hahahahahahaha!” Josephine bought the bottle of beer to her lips. “Cheers! To myself, to Daren, and to… Katherine…” Josephine gulped down the contents in the bottle and started walking unsteadily down the street. “Daren… I’ll make you regret it…”
