Chapter 16“Make up, checked. Clothes, checked. Hair, checked. Hmm… I guess I’m left with Jun Wei unchecked.” Isabel mumbled as she fixed a wild strand of hair. “Jun Wei, wake up!” Isabel ran over to the bed which they shared and pulled off the duvet. “Aren’t we here on a holiday? You spend all your time sleeping and taking photos, you should accompany your beautiful girlfriend too!” Isabel jumped onto the bed and pulled Jun Wei into sitting position. “Five minutes…” Jun Wei groaned and dropped back to the fluffy pillows. “No! wake up wake up wake up…” Isabel chanted. “Alright, alright. I give up.” Jun Wei sat upright and looked at Isabel. Some of the love he had felt for her seemed to have returned. His heart no longer yearn to see Joyce so much. “10 minutes to wash up and change.” Isabel grinned and jumped off the bed. “I’ll make breakfast. Make sure you come out quick!”
Jun Wei combed his hair into place and walked out of the bathroom slowly.
Isabel seemed to have returned to her old self. Hyper, fun, and lively as always. Jun Wei thought as he slipped into the chair. “Tada! Delicious and nutritious sandwiches!” Isabel balanced two plates on her right hand and made a “V” sign with her left. Jun Wei reached for the plates and placed them on the table. “You know you’re not good at balancing. Are you intending to break two plates?” Jun Wei stuffed the sandwich into his mouth. “Aww… Always pouring cold water.” Isabel pouted and stared at Jun Wei. “You not eating?” Jun Wei asked in between bites. “Not until you apologise.” Isabel crossed her arms and tilted her head. Jun Wei glanced at Isabel.
She’s definitely is back to her old self. He stood up and poured some tea into a cup. “Your Highness, forgive me?” Jun Wei kneeled down and offered her the cup of tea. “Hmpf. Only once.” Isabel reached for the cup and took a sip. She handed the cup and planted a kiss on Jun Wei’s cheek. Jun Wei carefully laid the cup on the table before bursting out in laughers.
My Isabel, my happiness.“Smile!” Jun Wei shouted. “PEACE!” Isabel grinned and struck her favourite ‘victory pose’. “Lemme see!” Isabel snatched the camera over. “Let’s take a picture together.” Jun Wei suggested and pointed to the nearby statue. “With him.” Isabel giggled and nodded her head. “Three, two, one!” Happy moments forever captured, it will never be lost again…
“Jun Wei! Isabel!” A familiar voice called out behind them. Isabel twirled around. “It’s really you guys.” Annabelle came running. “Hey.” Jun Wei grinned. “It’s been some time since I last saw you. Some ex girlfriend you are. Didn’t even come to visit me after I’ve been discharged.” Jun Wei placed a hand around her shoulders. “I was busy. Plus, the time I spent accompanying you in hospital should be enough, not?” Annabelle’s hand slide up to Jun Wei’s waist. Isabel coughed and removed Annabelle’s hand without a trace, replacing her hand on Jun Wei’s waist. “How are you?” Isabel smiled sweetly at Annabelle while balling her other hand into a tight fist. “I’m doing good. You?” Annabelle noticed Isabel’s clutched fist. “I’m fine.” If looks could kill, Annabelle would have withered there and then. Isabel was practically sending daggers at Annabelle with her eyes. “Coffee anyone?” Jun Wei asked, not noticing the war that was taking place right in front of him. “Sure.” Annabelle reached for Jun Wei’s hand and pulled him into a café. “You… Horrible and nasty witch!” Isabel stamped her foot and followed the both of them in.
“When are you leaving? I remember you telling me that you guys are here on a holiday.” Annabelle asked while eyeing Isabel the whole time. “We’re going back next Monday.” Jun Wei replied, still oblivious to what was happening. “Your last week here eh. Would you like me to bring you around?” Annabelle aimed this question at Isabel. “No thank you. I think it’ll be much more exciting if we were to find these places by ourselves.” Isabel declined. “I see… Shall I send you guys off at the airport then?” Annabelle reached her hand towards Jun Wei’s. “It’s okay, you don’t have to trouble yourself…” Jun Wei’s sentence got cut off by Isabel. “NO!” Isabel slammed the table and stood up. “Isabel?” Jun Wei looked up, startled. “Let’s go. I want to take more photos.” Isabel turned and was about to walk out of the shop when she twirled around again. She pulled up Jun Wei from his chair and dragged him out of the café.
“Isabel, what’s wrong with you?” Jun Wei placed both his hands firmly on Isabel’s shoulders and force her to look at him in the eye. “I don’t like her looking at you that way! I don’t like her holding your hand! I don’t like to se you guys acting so intimate! I don’t like seeing you smile at her! I don’t like to see you talking to her so softly! I don’t…” Jun Wei stopped Isabel’s endless prattles with a kiss. “Stupid.” Jun Wei whispered. “She’s already engaged.” He pulled Isabel closer to him. “What?” Isabel broke off the kiss. “She’s engaged.” Jun Wei repeated. “But… She…” Images of Annabelle acting intimate with Jun Wei flashed through her mind. “Hmm?” “Nothing.” Isabel hid her burning face into Jun Wei’s board and muscular shoulder.
Kyaaaa~ What have I just done?!Jun Wei kicked open the door and walked quickly towards the bed. “She sure is heavy despite being so petite.” He gently place Isabel onto the bed and collapsed beside her. “My cute Isabel.” His caressed her face. He smiled as he thought of how they had spent the night.
“Look! It’s a meteor! Make a wish quickly!” Isabel closed her eyes tightly and clamped both hands together. The meteor was long gone, but Isabel kept herself in that position. “Isabel? Isabel, the meteor’s gone already.” Jun Wei shook her. “Hmm…” Isabel collapsed into his embrace, asleep. “How can you fall asleep while making a wish?” Jun Wei pecked her face and smiled before falling into a deep slumber himself…

i miss everyone so much! the exam period was such a torture, but now it's finally over! i have been dying to type Fate again! almost rotted, studying everyday.
I'm bought Chapter 16 of Fate along with me. It's a chapter focusing more on Isabel and Jun Wei, and their relationship which has deepen(obviously).
I really hate to say this, but i cant bear it anymore. The long awaited grand finale is finally approaching, at the speed of light!(Spoiler hehe)
