Howl 8“Be careful!” Xuan’s warning came too late. Lan Yi Rou fell hard onto the ground, face first.
Rou wailed at the pain on her forehead. Xuan stroked her forehead tenderly, heartbroken at the pain his beloved sister is going through. “You have to be careful in the future. You’re always getting injured because of your clumsiness.”
Despite the pain, Rou still felt like smiling. It is because she knew just how much her brother loves her.Skye sat himself at the patch of grass nearby to watch Rou play with the fireflies. They were dancing around her, surrounding her. It seemed as if they were not afraid of her at all. A happy smile hung on his face as he slowly drifted off into dreamland.

Skye opened his eyes slightly and raised a hand to block out the sunlight. “Did I fall asleep here?” he tried to shift himself from the position he was in and turned to his right sharply. Rou was leaning on his right shoulder, with a tiny smile playing on her lips. ‘Did she fall asleep on my shoulder? So… We slept together in this position the whole night? When did I fall asleep anyway? Did she lean against me voluntarily? Or did she just fall onto me?’ thoughts raced through Skye’s mind at the speed of lightening, but he wasn’t given anytime to think the questions through. Rou moved slightly, and her eyes fluttered open. Her brain registered Skye’s image, and the intimate position they were in. Rou’s eyes grew big and she sprung away from Skye immediately.
Did I fall asleep on his shoulder?!Rou was quiet throughout the whole of breakfast, likewise for Skye. When Rou and Skye reached for the same bread at the same time, their face flushed deep red and retrieved their hands immediately. Auntie May tried to stifle her laughter by biting on her lower lips. She could see that something had happened between the two. From the way they were acting, it must be something intimate… Rou stood up suddenly. “I’m full.” she took a step out and was about to walk off when she tripped over the leg of her chair. “Careful!”
“Careful!” Skye shouted and reached his hand towards Rou. He grabbed onto Rou’s body and pulled her towards him. Once again, they were in an intimate pose, with Skye still holding onto Rou’s waist and Rou in Skye’s arms. Their eyes met each other, and there was a moment of silence. Skye released his hold on Rou and they jumped away from each other, both looking as red as a tomato. “Thank… Thank you.” Rou stammered and ran out of the inn.
Rou had never ran so fast in her entire life. She flew past the trees and bushes, and finally stopped when she was nowhere near the inn. Placing both hands on her knees, she panted heavily. Her heart was pounded hard against her ribcage, but she knew fully well that it was not the run which made her heart beat so fast. Rou placed a hand on her waist, at the exact spot Skye had placed his hand just now. Without her knowledge, a smile had broken out on her face.
Skye sprinted out of the inn as soon as he regained his ability to move after the shock. He had no idea which direction Rou went in, but all he knew was that he had to find her. Laid in front of him was two routes. Without thinking, he ran onto the one on his left. Something tells him that this is the route to Rou…
Rou was still trying to catch her breath when she felt a pair of muscular arms on her waist, hugging her from the back. Rou gasped and spun around sharply, thinking that she had ran into Old Wang again. Her eyes met Skye’s and she stood transfixed, unable to look away. “Skye…” she whispered. Without further consideration, Skye pulled Rou into an embrace. Her hands moved up slowly, and finally grabbed tightly onto Skye‘s blouse. They had confirmed their love.

Rou giggled at the killer glares that were thrown her way. The guys who have been pestering her all these time were standing keeping their distance, and the credits go to Skye who has his hand wrapped protectively around Rou. “I bet they won’t hesitate to kill you if they were given the opportunity.” Rou said jokingly.
“It’s all thanks to me that you’re enjoying peace right now, and you’re actually cursing me?” Skye whispered beside her ear. “Do you really have such a strong desire for me to die?”
Rou pouted and crossed her arms. “You’re always twisting my words around! That wasn’t what I meant!”
“So you meant for me to live a long life and stay with you forever?” Skye teased. “Of course you would mean that. I’m the perfect Skye after all. One and only in the whole universe.”
Rou rolled her eyes. Until now, she still can’t figure out why her heart chose this conceited freak. Perhaps this was the explanation behind the terms ‘Love is Blind’ and ‘Love is Unexplainable‘. Indeed, she had fallen hopelessly in love with this guy standing right in front of her, and don’t know why.
As soon as Skye got into his room, he reached for his laptop and sighed. “I wish this was a real holiday. It would be nice if this holiday would never end…”
Rou fingered her mobile phone, wondering if she should call her brother. It has been nearly two weeks since she was here, and there are so many things she wanted to tell Xuan. After much hesitation, she finally plucked up enough courage to switch on her phone. As soon as her phone was connected to her network, her phone vibrated and rang, causing Rou to jump slightly. She looked her screen carefully, aware that she should check the caller display before she answers the call. Finally, she pressed the ‘accept call’ button…

exams are coming in just 3 more days, and yet i'm still reguarly updating!

perhaps i wont be updating as much during these two weeks( like as if i was very regularly updating even when there wasnt any exams -.- ) but i will still try to update at least once a week!
