Tired, Ri In slumped against the door and slid down. Feeling dejected and unwanted, Ri In felt life taking its toll on her. “What are you doing here?” a man looked at her weirdly. “Are you looking for someone living here?” he pointed to the apartment door Ri In is slumped against. Almost robotic, she moved her head up and down slightly. “I’m the owner of this place. May I ask why you’re looking for me?” Ri In snapped her head up immediately and stood up.
“This is your place? You sure about it?”

Junsu hummed a tune as he placed the plate of spaghetti on the dining table. It was Chloe’s idea to invite Ri In over for a simple dinner.
“What’s taking her so long? She didn’t go back on her decision did she? Ri In, why aren’t you here yet?” Junsu paced along the living room as he took off the apron. Questions whirling about in his mind, he felt afraid all of a sudden. He didn’t like the thought of Ri In standing him up. He didn’t like the possibility of Ri In hanging out with another man right now. “I’m going out to wait for her.” Junsu grabbed his coat from the armchair and shuffled his feet towards the door.

“Miss, I’ve been living here for two years now. Either you’ve got the wrong place, or your friend moved away.” the man narrowed his eyes on Ri In . Just then, the door belonging to the next apartment opened. Ri In ’s eyes grew wide open when she saw the person emerging from the place. He didn’t leave her. He’s there, looking at her…

“You little idiot. I told you to take down my address!” Junsu handed Ri In a cup of warm coffee.
“I never thought I’ll get the wrong address. My memory has always been good…” Ri In felt her cheeks flush red in embarrassment. To think she was crying so bitterly in front of a stranger’s house. The wrong house.
“You’ve only been here once before, and it was months ago! I’m not surprised your ‘good memory’ failed you.” Junsu fumed. Ri In lowered her head as she bit on her lower lip. Junsu sighed and walked over to her. “Come, I prepared dinner!”

Ri In’s eyes sparkled at the meal before her. ‘Spaghetti? Does Junsu even know how to start a fire properly? Is this edible?’ Ri In poked her plate with a fork. Junsu’s dolphin chuckle rang out from opposite her. As if proving that the food is perfectly fine, he took a huge bite out of his plate of noodles. He then closed his eyes and chewed with a ‘blissful’ expression. Ri In finally picked up a small portion of the noodle before her and chewed on it carefully. Junsu looked at her expectantly. To his relief, Ri In nodded her head and smiled. “It’s delicious. I didn’t know you cooked.”
“I don’t. Chloe spent the whole night teaching me how to.” Junsu dug into his food, not noticing the hint of jealousy which flickered in Ri In’s eyes…

“You should be having a good time with Ri In now… she’s so lucky to be able to own all of your love…” Chloe twirled the pen in her hand around and around. Sighing, she allowed the stationary to drop onto the bed as she got up. From beneath her pillow, she pulled out a hidden photograph of Junsu and Li Yin - the photograph she had taken from Junsu’s album without permission. She loathed Ri In. She dislike how Ri In could manipulate Junsu’s feelings at whim whilst herself could not even do as much as to make him turn her way. Yet at the same time, she admired Ri In. “If only I was like you…”

Junsu took nervous glances at Ri In who was facing him with her back. ‘Kim Junsu, it’s now or never.’ mustering up his courage, he picked up the jewelry box from the coffee table and took big strides towards Ri In. clearing his throat to get her attention, he knelt down suddenly. “What are you doing?” Ri In appeared shocked at his actions.
“A clown’s love is never a sad love. Will you marry me, and let me prove it to you?” Junsu pulled the necklace out of its box. Dangling on the necklace was the ‘clown’ which once belonged on a hairclip.

“Why is my clown…” Ri In stuttered. “I…”
“Will you marry me?” Junsu pressed on. “Give me a chance to prove that a clown can have a happy and blissful love too.” Junsu stood up and looked deeply into Ri In’s eyes. A tinge of red brushed past her cheeks as she gave a slight nod. Junsu nearly jumped up in ecstasy. Grinning stupidly, he threw his arms around her and hugged her tightly as he jumped up and down. “Stop jumping, I’m going to throw up!” Ri In protested as she got pulled along into the jump. Junsu shook his head at her. “You’ll just have to bear with it. I’m too happy right now!”

“Let’s not tell Yoochun and Ye Seul about us first. I don’t like the idea of a double wedding. I want the limelight on us and only us.” Junsu blew lightly against Ri In’s ear, tickling her. Ri In giggled and nodded her head. She wanted a simple marriage ceremony. But judging by her best friend’s character, she’d probably go for the extravagant and classy style. “No, we can’t have a double wedding.” Ri In agreed with her husband-to-be totally.
“You’re Chinese, so you must know of the Chinese term ’following what the husband decides upon’. We’ve yet to get married to each other, and you’re already following with my decisions. You must be really desperate to marry me!” Junsu said laughingly.
“Kim Junsu!”

Ri In can’t decide whether to laugh or to cry. Somehow, from the fight they were engaged in, they ended up in Junsu’s bedroom, where something happened again. Pulling the blanket closely around her body, she turned to look at Junsu’s sleeping face. Looking at him sleep makes her feel peaceful and calm. It made her feel safe. ‘I believe in you. I believe you’ll be protecting me from now on…’
