Watching dinner progress between Kim Junsu and Zhang Li Yin, I laughed at the foolish thinking of humans. They don’t mess around with Fate. It is I who manipulate and toy around with them.

Ye Seul got into a club happily, thinking of her success from getting away with her matchmaking dinner. Dumping her shopping bags at the bar counter, she signaled to the bartender. “I don’t frequent such places. Would you like to introduce me to any of your best selling drinks here?” Ye Seul swallowed her laughter which had arisen when she saw how the bartender was gawking at her. “Would you like to try my drink?” Ye Seul turned to her right to see a man approaching her with a glass. The man had on a warm and friendly smile. Ye Seul took that as a challenge. Lips pursed, Ye Seul snatched his drink over.

“Li Yin, allow me to send you home.” Junsu smiled at Li Yin again as they walked out of the restaurant. Li Yin wanted to shake her head, but got cut off when an expensive looking car drove up in front of her. Junsu went over and held the door open for her. Murmuring her thanks, Li Yin had no other choice but to slip into the passenger seat. “Music?” Junsu turned to look at her. Not wanting to reply, Li Yin looked out of the window. “You have to tell me your address at least.” Junsu attempted again to get Li Yin talking. Sighing, Li Yin wrote down her address on a piece of paper and passed it over. Junsu frowned at the paper and looked up to see that Li Yin is fast asleep. ‘Perhaps I should just drive. It is not my business anyway.’ Junsu decided as he pulled the car onto the road.

“What’s your name? I’m Micky.” Of course, I cannot reveal my real identity here. The girls would freak out knowing that I’m Park Yoochun.
“Ye Seul.” the girl seemed a little tipsy.
“I see you’re quite a good drinker, Ye Seul. You’ve had seven glasses of the strongest liquor in this club and you‘re not down yet.” I frequent this club often and I seldom see such good drinkers around. She looked at me and laughed. Shaking her head, she wagged a finger in my face. “I can drink more than this. Don’t assume girls to be bad at drinking.”

Junsu stopped the car in front of a dilapidated heap. Yes, this is what Junsu calls this place. Not a house but a dilapidated heap. Junsu’s brows furrowed together as he tried to make a head or tail out of the current situation. He knew this girl can never be the one matched with Yoochun. Her posture, the way she speaks, her name and the place she lives at. It all derives him at a conclusion - she is most likely like himself, just a stand-in for the night. Whatever it is, he has to fulfill his job and send her in through the doors safely. Just as he leaned over to wake her up, Li Yin stirred and opened her eyes. Her eyes grew wide open as she noticed how close their face were to each other. Junsu retreated hastily, his face burning. Li Yin uttered a thanks and jumped out of the car. “Wait!” Junsu does not understand why he called out for her. He just knew he couldn’t let her go like this.

Li Yin ignored Junsu’s shout and pushed the gate to her place open. Junsu clambered out of his car towards Li Yin to witness a tussle going on inside the house. “Let go of my father!” Li Yin charged towards the group of grown men, leaving Junsu in shock. Li Yin struggled to dodge the punches thrown her direction as she tried to pull the man on the ground back onto his feet. Finally waking up, Junsu dashed in and delivered a kick across a man’s face. He defeated them neatly and effortlessly. Cursing and swearing, they fled from the house promising that they would be back. Li Yin’s father stood panting by the gate whilst Li Yin trembled in fear and shock. Without hesitating, Junsu went towards Li Yin.

Junsu picked Li Yin from the ground and embraced her, attempting to soothe her. To his surprise, her father rushed over and delivered a slap right across Li Yin’s face. “You caught a rich kid and didn’t even give me a single cent when I asked for money! You should just go and die, you little liar! No money?!” the words sent Junsu flying into a rage.
“Your daughter here almost lost her life trying to protect you and this is how you reciprocate her?” Junsu tried her best to maintain his cool.
“You’re in no position to ridicule me, you basta-” he was cut short when Junsu punched him. Snarling, the man got back on his feet and lunged at Junsu. After missing him for a few repeated tries, he eventually gave up and snatched Li Yin’s bag from her hands. Grasped in his hand was a few bills. Grunting, he pointed his middle finger at Junsu as he made his way out of the gate…

Having successfully drowned themselves in liquor, Ye Seul and Yoochun lay their heads on the bar counter beside each other. The bartender came and shook their bodies hard, attempting to wake them up but to no avail. Shaking his head, he went back to his job. The club operated 24 hours anyway. It wouldn’t matter even if they slept here for tonight.

Junsu sat opposite Li Yin on the floor. There is no furniture at all in the house. He has never in his lifetime seen such a place before. There is only a hall and no other rooms. Stacked in a corner of the hall was blankets and pillows. Li Yin had her head lowered in shame. Sitting in such a shabby place, Junsu felt uneasy but made do with it since Li Yin obviously wasn’t feeling any better. “Do you want to talk to me? I make a good listener.” Junsu offered. As Li Yin looked up at him, he could see that her eyes were dull and not sparkling like before. Biting her lips, Li Yin decided that she would have to tell Junsu the truth about her family background.
