“Where are we going exactly?” Ri In looked anxiously at her watch. “I’m supposed to be at the studio in three hours time. My make up is undone, my hair’s in a mess!”
“Yeah! I have school transfer procedures waiting for me!” Junsu wailed.
“Keep quiet. You’ll know soon enough. This is a lesson for you, Ri In. And a warning for you, Kim Junsu!” Ye Seul grinned behind her pair of sunglasses. Ri In shuddered in her seat. That look, she knew that look meant nothing good.
“Hey!” Yoochun waved enthusiastically at the threesome walking towards him. “I thought you asked me out for a date! Why did the two tag along?” Yoochun raised an eyebrow at Junsu and Ri In. Ye Seul remained silent as she slipped her hand into Yoochun’s pulled him towards the headquarters of Han Electronics.
Ye Seul flashed a smile at the workers who bowed towards her. “Everyone knows you eh. My lovely fiancée.” Yoochun leaned in and pecked her lightly on her cheek. Junsu stuck his tongue out and Ri In rolled her eyes. “Keep the mushy stuff to yourself!” they exclaimed together.
“When did you guys gain this much chemistry?” Yoochun retorted. Ye Seul however, kept to silence. Yoochun gasped as his ‘lovely fiancée’ pushed opened the doors of a room…
A few dozen girls stood up at once and called a dozen different names. Yoochun felt sheer horror as the girls rushed towards him. “Mark, you promised to call me, but you never did!” one girl was practically putting all of her weight on Yoochun. Ri In’s mouth dropped opened and Junsu stood paralyzed as he watched his buddy get surrounded by his many girlfriends. “Yoochun dear, aren’t you going to tell them about our marriage plans?” Ye Seul’s voice rang out loudly above all the chattering. There was a moment of pin drop silence, followed by gasps and an avalanche of questions thrown towards the poor fiancé.
Yoochun bent over, panting heavily as he caught his breath. He has just managed to shake off the last of the girls. “I hope I never see them again!” he muttered under his breath. “I hope so too.” a female voice spoke up from behind him. Thinking one of the girls found him, Yoochun cursed and prepared to take off again. There was a tight pull on his shirt, followed by a warning. “If you dare to run from me, this is the end of us.”
“Ye Seul?!” Yoochun turned around immediately. “So it was you! You’d never know how happy I am to see you!” he grabbed her by her shoulders and hugged her tightly. Ye Seul smirked as she pushed Yoochun away slightly. “The reason I got all of them to gather was for you to announce our wedding. You ended up running from them.” Yoochun’s eyes opened to their limits when he heard that she was the one who gathered the girls. It all made sense now, why she had brought him to her family’s company only to find all of ‘his girls’ waiting for him. “How?!”
“Junsu, don’t run so fast!” Ri In gasped for air as she willed her feet to go faster. Junsu did not release his grip on her hand, neither did he slow down. The whole group of girls chasing after him was too much. He couldn’t just abandon Ri In too. Feeling Ri In’s hand slowly slipping out of his as she slowed down, Junsu turned back frantically. The girls were hot on their heels. He quickly gathered Ri In in his arms and started to run. “Put me down! I’m gonna fall, put me down!” Ri In screeched.
“No can do. I can’t just leave my girl here and run.” Junsu exclaimed. “Just hold on tight, we’ll be safe soon. Park Yoochun, wait till I see you again!”
Although what Junsu said wasn’t the sweet nothings that Yoochun was best at, Ri In felt that it was the most romantic thing he has said so far. Feeling happiness brewing within her, Ri In wrapped her hand around Junsu’s neck as they started their escapade.
“I simply looked in your phone and got all the numbers. I had a hard time trying to not mix up the many names. Betty? Han Byul? Soo Na? I’m amazed at your memory.” Ye Seul crossed her arms. Yoochun is starting to understand what Ye Seul meant by ‘just wait till we’re married’. They’ve yet to get married, and yet he could feel the jealousy and wrath from his fiancée. ‘I wonder if I can survive this marriage…’
After putting Ri In down on the grass patch gently, Junsu collapsed beside her. He didn’t know girls could be this dangerous. How lucky that his girl was the kind and gentle Ri In. Tilting his head slightly, he could see Ri In’s side profile perfectly. The pretty and flawless face… somehow, he was reminded of Li Yin. Reaching his hand towards her, he caressed her face. “I’m sorry for all the hurt I’ve caused you…” he uttered subconsciously. Ri In lowered her head and fingered Junsu’s hand. Slowly, she shook her head and smiled at him. “We still ended up together, and this is what’s important.”
Junsu climbed up from his position on the grass and pulled Ri In closer towards him. “Yeah… this is what’s important…”
Yoochun exhaled deeply when he saw the couple asleep on the field. Beside him, Ye Seul was clapping as silently as possible. At this moment, he wish he was Junsu. “They’re so happy and carefree eh.” Yoochun said sourly. “And I was being chased by a crazy mob.”
“You only have yourself to blame.” Ye Seul lowered herself onto the grass and laid down. What could Yoochun do except to nod and agree? This is probably the most dejecting moment in his whole flirtatious life.
