Junsu snatched the hairclip over and examined it closely. There is no mistake that this hairclip is the same as the one Li Yin owned. However, how did it get onto his car? Who is the one who left it behind? Clutching the hairclip so tightly that it dug into his palm, Junsu squatted down by his car and covered his head with his hands. “How… who else have gotten on my car? Ri In… Jang Ri In…” Junsu uttered. Chloe quickly got off the car worriedly, attempting to pry his bleeding hand open. “Let go of the clip, you’re bleeding!” Junsu looked down at his hand and saw the red liquid which is slowly coating the hairclip. Pulling a corner of his shirt, he attempted to wipe it clean furiously. “Junsu! Junsu, what are you trying to do? You’re injured!” Chloe snatched the hairclip out of Junsu’s hands. “Will you just calm down?! What is happening?”
Junsu simply stretched his hand out towards Chloe. Looking at Junsu’s pleading eyes, Chloe shifted her sight between him and the hairclip. Sighing, she placed the hairclip gently on his hand and sprinted off in the other direction…

Junsu raced towards his room immediately with the magazine he had just brought in his hands - AniPlay. He slammed the book onto his table and before pulling out Li Yin’s photo and placed it beside the magazine. “The eyes… it’s the eyes…” Junsu made a quick comparison between the two pictures. Strumming his fingers on the tabletop, he made a conclusion. He would have to pay Zhang Xiong a visit.

Walking along slowly, Ri In smiled bitterly when she came to the spot where she got ran over by the lorry. Bending down slightly, she ran her fingers along the rough surface of the road. Would things be different now if she made it to the airport? Would she be with Junsu now? Ri In straightened herself and cleared her mind of such thoughts as she continued to walk towards the place she once called home. She was still a distance from it, but the shouts for help were clear and loud. Panic-stricken, Ri In ran up the flight of stairs without thinking…

“Stop what you’re doing!” Ri In shouted and threw a stone towards one of the man. The group turned to look at Ri In, anger written across their face. Ri In threw herself at one of the man and kicked him while Zhang Xiong scrambled for cover. Soon enough, the group cornered Ri In who is weak and defenseless against them. “I recognise her!” one of the man pointed out. “The girl on Elle! Recently she got on AniPlay as well!” the man had a lecherous look on his face. The one who seem to be the leader of the group grinned at his catch. He waved his hand and before Ri In could run, she got pinned down on the floor by the group. “HELP!” Ri In screamed and threw fearful glances for help towards Zhang Xiong who stood trembling. He muttered something incoherently and shook his head repeatedly at Ri In. “Sorry… I’m sorry…”

“NO!” Junsu heard a girl’s piercing scream as soon as he stopped his convertible before the Zhang’s. “NO! Open your eyes! Wake up!” Junsu jumped out of his car and dashed into the house in time to see Ri In’s clothes in a mess and Zhang Xiong lying on the ground unconscious, blood gushing of his head profusely. The group was about to make a run for it and pushed Junsu roughly when he caught each of them by hand and flung them over onto the ground. Punching them fiercely, he made sure that none could escape with the injuries of theirs. “Stop fighting!” Ri In shouted at Junsu desperately. “We’ve to send him to the hospital now!” she stood up and attempted to haul the heavy body out of the gates. Junsu immediately ran over and took over, carrying Zhang Xiong over his shoulders in one clean swipe. “Go start up the engine for my car. I’ll put him in the passenger’s seat.” Ri In nodded her head obediently, tears streaming down her face…

“Ri In…” Junsu placed a comforting hand on Ri In’s shoulder. “What happened just now?” Ri In lowered her gaze and stared hard at the floor, unwilling to speak. Junsu sighed and pulled Ri In to face him. “Li Yin, stop lying. I know you are Zhang Li Yin.” Ri In snapped her head up immediately at Junsu’s words. “The Li Yin who will rescue her father at all costs, the Li Yin who is pretending to be Jang Ri In, the Li Yin who still loves Kim Junsu, the Li Yin who-” before he could complete his sentence, Ri In delivered a slap across his face. The second slap in a day. “What do you know?! I am no longer Zhang Li Yin. Zhang Li Yin is dead, she’s dead! Standing before you is Jang Ri In, the long lost daughter of the Jang’s and the top model! Zhang Li Yin died the day you left her. She died the day you left her alone to fend for her baby and herself.”

‘Baby?!’ Junsu’s skip skipped a beat. Did he hear wrong? She said a baby! He wanted to ask her, but just as he opened his mouth, the doctor walked out of the operation theatre. Ri In rushed to him, her hands gripping the doctor’s arms so tightly that her knuckles turned white. “Please don’t be too sad over the loss. He has moved on to a better place.” the doctor patted Ri In’s shoulder and walked away. Ri In took a few steps backwards, her mind refusing to accept what the doctor just said. It started off as a few drops of tears, which slowly escalated into wails. This was probably the second time she has cried so bitterly. Junsu could only watch in sadness as Ri In broke down before him. Pulling her into his embrace, he ran his fingers through her hair and rasped soothing whispers into her ear. He could feel her tiny body frame shaking, trembling as she wept over the loss of the person who had taken care of her ever since she was young.

“Li Yin, mummy is not going to make it.” the lady said to little Li Yin who is aged four. “You must promise that you will take care of Uncle Zhang, and you must never blame him for his addiction to drugs and gambling. We owe him too much. If not for him, we would be wandering on the streets homeless. He will be your father from now on…” Li Yin didn’t manage to comprehend what her mother meant, but she understood fully that her mother is going to leave her. Clasping her tiny hand over her mother’s she choked on her tears as she watched her mother move on right before her eyes…
