“Hey, your friend?” the girl in shades pulled down her frames to take a good look at Li Yin. “Not bad, she’s pretty.”
Junsu chuckled as he took Shaki from Li Yin. “Yeah, my girlfriend!”
Li Yin turned sharply to glare at him. She never agreed to be his girlfriend, not that he asked. The youngest of the foursome offered her hand towards Li Yin with a warm smile. “I’m Minzy. This two on your left is Bom and Dara, they’re of the same age and is the oldest of us four.”
“And I’m cool lady, CL!” the girl with shades butted into Minzy’s sentence and quickly shook Li Yin’s hand before Minzy. All these while, Junsu simply grinned in a silly fashion, thinking about his brilliant plan.
As soon as Li Yin stepped into the place, the drum set and instruments arranged on the stage caught her attention. Junsu followed closely behind with Shaki trailing along beside Li Yin. The dog seemed to have demolished every inch of insecurities towards Li Yin after seeing its owner, namely Junsu, being so open and free around her. Junsu made his way to CL and whispered to her about his plan, with her nodding her head in understanding. Looking at how intimate they are acting, Li Yin subconsciously wanted to step between them. When they finally separated, Junsu pulled Li Yin towards the seats whilst the three girls joined CL onstage with their own microphones. Hitting the ‘play’ key on the music player placed on a table, the music started to blast through the stereos. To Li Yin’s surprise, it was a performance…
“You're gonna pay for seeing me as easy, just because I'm young. I can easily take away your heart in a moment, like 1, 2, 3, 4!” Li Yin watched in awe as Minzy danced and sing at the same time without looking breathless at all. Junsu smiled and bobbed his head to the tempo, a finger tapping on his lap gently. It was a great performance no doubt, but he was more interested in watching Li Yin. After all, the purpose for this whole visit was to boost her confidence and hopefully allow her to put on a better performance for the upcoming presentation of what they’ve came up with for the music project. He doesn’t want a mediocre performance. He wanted to take the whole place by storm. However, in order for that, he must first build Li Yin’s confidence, which is the main purpose for bringing her to visit the foursome.
“Wanna catch a movie?” Yunho pointed to the cinema. “Or would you like to have dinner? Or…”
“Let’s go home! I’ll cook dinner!” xiaoxi flashed a smile and took the initiative to hold his hand. Yunho’s eyes widened in shock and happiness, for it was the first time xiaoxi took the lead. Funny enough how xiaoxi have never really given a clear answer to being a couple with Yunho, yet the both of them seem to have accepted that they were dating and in love.
Busy chopping up the ingredients needed for tofu stew, xiaoxi shouted loudly for Yunho to check up on the boiling soup. Changing halfway, Yunho rushed out of his room and into the kitchen. Turning around to check the egg she left to cook on its own, xiaoxi nearly dropped the knife she held in her hands when she saw Yunho with his hoodie unzipped. “Be careful!” Yunho covered her hands with his, securing her grip. Xiaoxi shifted her gaze away uncomfortably, cheeks flushing red. Yunho chuckled as he realised what was the problem. Making use of the chance, he withdrew the knife from xiaoxi’s hand and placed it on the kitchen counter while leaning over for a kiss…
Sipping the orange juice offered to her by Dara, Li Yin found herself becoming a fan of these four girls, particularly Minzy who was much younger than her and yet has such a strong stage presence. “Confidence is key.” Bom seemed to be able to read her mind easily. “Never doubt your abilities, always believe you can accomplish anything. With that thought in mind, I guarantee you can put up the most mind-blowing performance.”
Li Yin nodded her head as she tried to embed the phrase into her systems. Nodding his head in approval, Junsu grinned at how well his planned has progressed.
Dozing off in Junsu’s car, Li Yin still murmured the lyrics to their song, 不得不愛 (Got to Love). Junsu chuckled at how fired up Li Yin is about the performance which was only a week away. Time has really passed by quickly. It was at least half a year ago when Li Yin and Yunho transferred over to Mirotic School for the Musically Talented. It was only half a year ago when he got to know this girl, and now he is head over heels in love with her, finally moving on with life after Guigui left him. ’I bet this is the most meaningful six months in my life, because you’re here in my life for each day of this six months.’ Junsu spared a hand to brush a strand of stray hair from her sleeping face at the red light. ‘Thank you for coming into my life, Zhang Li Yin…’
Satisfied at how things have turned out for Junsu and xiaoxi, Guigui hugged her knees close to her body and rested her chin on it. Junsu is moving on with life well, and xiaoxi is finally breaking free of the limitations she has set herself to. Just then, she felt a tap on her shoulder. “Inhwan,” Guigui acknowledged the angel with a gentle smile. He was her playmate round here, never failing to make her lips arch into a smile. “It’s time for you to go.” he said sadly. “You can’t stay here anymore because your wishes have been fulfilled. You’re moving on now…” not quite getting Inhwan, Guigui saw her hands slowly fading away, followed by other parts of her. A tear rolled down the angel’s face as he watched the painful process of a friend leaving him. “I’ll miss you, Inhwan…” Guigui whispered before disintegrating completely. Finally, it was her turn to move on too…
