“Let’s go for a picnic! The weather today is just perfect!” Xuan Na jumped around her stepbrother in an excited manner. You Tian chuckled and nodded his head since there wasn’t much to do for the day anyway. Ecstatic, Xuan Na swiftly started preparing some sandwiches to bring along with them. Although her hands were busy preparing, her eyes stole glances at You Tian’s back view whenever it was possible. Once you love somebody, that bond can never be broken. No matter what happens, you’ll always have a place for them in your heart. No matter what happens, you’ll never forget them. Some people search their whole lives for love. I will do everything in my power to never let go of what I own right now.

Taking the wheel of the car they just rented, Chang Min took the job of being chauffeur for a day whilst his fiancée, his sister, and his fiancée’s personal attendant chatted excitedly and pointed at the place which was new to them. “How is it possible to live in this village?” Chang Min watched his sister poke her head out of the car’s window as she exclaimed yet again.
“Get your head back into the car, Min Zhi. Are you sure you’ve really toured most of Earth? You’re acting as if this is the first time you took a step out of your house to see the world.” Chang Min shook his head in disapproval. “I shouldn’t have agreed to let you tag along.”
Min Zhi pursed her lips and quickly turned to her sister-in-law-to-be for assistance. Yu Bin shook her head gently and shrugged to show that it was not within her control. Min Zhi wailed as she realised that there is no one who will help her defeat her almighty brother.

Xuan Na stopped in her tracks as her sight followed the car which drove by them. It was odd, for the only car she ever sees around the place is the car that Jin Jun Xiu always travels around in. The group of people in the car were English-speaking and made quite a din as compared to the peacefulness in the village. “They look Chinese to me. Why are they speaking English? And they are actually driving!” Xuan Na exclaimed as she continued to walk.
“Perhaps they went to study aboard. They must be rich if they can study elsewhere, so the money to buy a car is just peanuts to them.” You Tian analyzed logically. Xuan Na remained frowning. She dislikes people who flaunt how well-to-do they are, especially in a rural village located in China. ‘Does heritage mean nothing to them? Why are they speaking English when they are Chinese?‘ Xuan Na rolled her eyes. ‘They are just like Jin Jun Xiu, show-off.’

Tossing and turning in his bed, Jun Xiu perspired profusely as he had another visit to his past memories. Chest heaving up and down as he panted heavily, he jolt awake to embrace reality once again. The sun was beating down on him mercilessly, informing him that it is near noon. He groaned as he struggled out of bed and into the washroom. It has been long since he last slept in. Jun Xiu’s body ached terribly and his head weighed down on him. Gripping tightly onto the side of the basin for support, Jun Xiu shook his head repeatedly to clear his mind. Just then, Zai Zhong entered after delivering a dozen quick knocks. “Young Master, Young Mistress Jin is here…”

Jun Xiu couldn’t believe his eyes as he walked into the living room which was nearly always empty and cold. There was a bunch of people sitting in the living room, and most importantly, there was actually laughter in the place. Min Zhi pranced around as she showed off the flamenco dance she learnt whilst on her trip. Awed, Jun Xiu stood rooted to the round as he watched her. She seem to be so carefree - unlike him. Zai Zhong who has been standing behind Jun Xiu the whole time cleared his throat to get the merrymakers’ attention. Yu Bin spun around immediately and her gaze met Jun Xiu’s. It was full of surprise and grudge. Yu Bin rose to her feet unconsciously and made tiny steps towards him.

“Why are you here?” Jun Xiu found himself asking in a hostile manner. Of course, he was elated to see her. Who wouldn’t be when they haven’t seen a childhood playmate in a long time? But she abandoned him. She left him when he needed someone by his side. She walked out on him despite his cries and pleas. “Why are you here now? Why did you come back?” Jun Xiu inched up on her with anger evident in his eyes. She was the only person keeping him ‘alive’ when nobody else bothered about him. She was all he had at that point of time. She ditched him. Bitterness brewed within Jun Xiu as he recalled the scene. Shaking with fury, Jun Xiu pointed to the exit. “Get out.”

“Isn’t the weather great? The wind is so refreshing!” Xuan Na shouted as she ran across the bridge. They were a distance from the heart of the village, and near to Jin Jun Xiu’s mansion - even though they did not know about this. The bridge overlooked the vast sea and if one stares really hard, they might be able to see the tall palm trees on the opposite land. You Tian smiled and placed the basket down. He got to work spreading the mat on the wooden planks so Xuan Na could sit down without dirtying her clothes after she’s tired from running and jumping. Since they seldom had the opportunity to be so far away from the eyes of the villagers, Xuan Na made up her mind to for this date to be memorable. Frankly speaking, she would rather go on a date openly with You Tian. However, she has yet to confess to him and she knew that it would not be no mean feat convincing everyone of their relationship.

For someone who was just enjoying the breeze earlier, it was fast that Xuan Na started grumbling how the wind is messing up her long locks of hair. Brushing it out of her face, she had a frown on. As if he had expected and prepared for it, You Tian took out a ribbon from his pocket and started tying her hair into a ponytail. Gathering all loose strands tenderly, You Tian was leaning close to Xuan Na - too close for someone who might lose control of her emotions anytime. Just as he was done fixing the ribbon, Xuan Na turned around and kissed him, not just a peck on the cheek, but a kiss on the lips.
