Hiding in his room, Jun Xiu faced the window trying to cool off. Just as his sight went across the vast sea, he spotted two figures on the bridge which extends halfway above the sea. Jealousy stemmed from fury and blended together to concoct a dangerous mix of emotions. His fists clenched together as he watched the girl move forward to kiss the guy. Breathing unstably, Jun Xiu shook with rage and clenched tightly on the window sill for support. “Xuan Na… Xuan Na…” he called her name aloud for the first time, but it came as a mere whisper.
“Xuan Na, what are you doing?!” You Tian tried to push her away but to no avail. Xuan Na clung onto him tightly, shaking her head in vehement refusal. “Don’t push me away. You know how I feel about you, so stop pretending! Please see me as a woman, You Tian!” Xuan Na shouted agitatedly. You Tian remain stunned and speechless. He knew she was right. And he knew he had feelings for her too. Both of them were too involved in their own emotions to notice that a villager who came fishing had heard everything in his boat below the bridge and has took off to inform everyone else.
Jun Xiu ran out of his room and grabbed the car keys lying on the table in the living room. Zai Zhong looked at him startled whilst the others looked on anxiously in curiosity. Yu Bin sensed something was amiss and stood up immediately. “Jun Xiu, where are you going? I’m coming along!” Yu Bin shouted after Jun Xiu who has took off for the car outside the mansion. She sprinted after him and hopped into the car before anyone could stop her. Not bothering to throw her out, Jun Xiu simply jammed his leg on the gas pedal and sped off for the beach.
“Young Master hasn’t been driving after he got his license! Both of them are in great danger!” Zai Zhong exclaimed as he dashed for his car. Hearing what he said, Chang Min instantaneously got into the car along with Zai Zhong. Worried about her mistress’ safety, Wen Xuan got on without thinking and resulted in Min Zhi tagging along as well. Without wasting time to ensure that everyone has seatbelts on, Zai Zhong started speeding after Jun Xiu who is long gone.
Meanwhile, the villager who heard Xuan Na’s confession for her brother is shouting even before he set foot into the village. “Everyone, you guys won’t believe what I heard! The puppeteer’s daughter Jin Xuan Na is in love with her brother! She’s in love with You Tian, I heard it with my ears!” his shouts attracted a throng of villagers who shook their head in disagreement. Even if You Tian was adopted into the family, it is still unacceptable because he is her brother. The villager continued spreading the news, causing an uproar. Xuan Na’s aged father trembled at the news when he heard the villager shout as he ran pass him. His daughter is in love with his son? His only daughter is in love with Pu You Tian!
Vision blurry from his tears of anger, jealousy and sadness combined, Jun Xiu’s car swerved dangerously on the road. “Stop the car! It’s dangerous!” Yu Bin tried to pry his fingers away from the steering wheel. Jun Xiu pushed her hand away roughly and stomped on the gas pedal. Yu Bin’s eyes widened as she saw the car draw closer to the tree. “We’re going off the road! Jun Xiu!” she shouted loudly trying to bring him to his senses as she wrestled him for the steering wheel. The car made a sharp turn and charged full force towards the beach - Jun Xiu’s destination. However, the car went out of control as it sped up the bridge, startling You Tian and Xuan Na who quickly jumped aside and avoided the vehicle. Following tightly behind Jun Xiu’s car, Zai Zhong and everyone else realised the danger they were facing…
Yu Bin screamed as she felt the car breaking past the barrier of the wooden bridge and land into the sea. Zai Zhong hit the brakes just in time to avoid falling in as well. Chang Min jumped off the car and hovered over the edge of the bridge in horror as he watched the two struggling in the waters. “Yu Bin can’t swim!” he yelled and dive in. Min Zhi got off the car and hurried towards Xuan Na who was still recovering from shock. You Tian jumped into the water along with Zai Zhong to aid in the rescue. “Please be alright, Young Mistress…” Wen Xuan prayed with her hands clasped together. “Please be alright…”
As soon as he hit the cold water, Jun Xiu’s mind seemed to clear up as he realised what he has just done. His stinging from the salty seawater, he tried to struggle air when he felt his body growing out of oxygen. He suddenly felt darkness enveloping him as fear took over. He recalled his dread of a lonely death. He recalled everything, from how he was abandoned to how his sickness manipulated his body. Opening his mouth in desperate need for air, he swallowed a great deal of seawater instead. Choking, Jun Xiu waved his arms about in a final call for help. Just then, he felt someone grabbing him by his arm before he passed out.
Penetrating through the dark waters for his fiancée, Chang Min felt his head getting giddy from the lack of oxygen. Yet, he refused to get up for more air. Every second is precious - especially since Yu Bin could not swim. Hankering on forlorn hope, Chang Min swam another round where he saw Yu Bin land into the water. Perhaps his wish was answered, for his fingers brushed against fabric. He lunged forward and pulled the unconscious figure out of the water instantly. “Yu Bin!” he cried out as soon as he touched surface…

ohmy, i hope this chapter was up to expectations. and i know its kinda unexpected how this suddenly happened.
if you're wondering what's the big deal about Xuan Na being in love with an adopted brother, i'll like to remind readers that this story is taking place in a more rural part of China during a non-so-advanced era. it is considered somewhat like a 'sin' to be in love with a brother.
i know there's probably a lot of typos etc in this chapter, sorry if you spot any okay~
