This post is my first ever FEATURE POST, also serves as a
WARNING POST for all the netizens out there. (Plus some shout outs if the owner of the shoutouts ever sets foot into this blog)
I'm clarifying that the below-mentioned are all my own opinion, and that i have not typed this under influence of anyone. Bear in mind I am
not forcing my opinions on you, and that you are
absolutely free to choose what you believe in . The main purpose of my post is to warn you against a fellow netizen who has stirred up quite a ruckus because of her extremely
immature behaviour which has inconvenienced my net experience.
Quite a number of you should have known by now the misunderstandings that have risen between between Phebs and Tiffany a.k.a BLACKCHERRY (BC), and i shall just summarise it as to how i see it to let you have a rough idea of how everything started.
BC claimed that Phebs had copied her writing style and accused Phebs of stealing her use of structure and words. Not only so, BC was unreasonably arrogant in this whole process and even BANNED Phebs from the forum 'BoJoong Fever'.
Once again, i am emphasizing that the below-mentioned and strictly MY OPINIONS and WARNINGS towards fellow netizens.
Soon after their fight, BC started spamming Phebs at her request site, and i personally was there to view the
amazing messages BC left behind. Spamming her was not all. An account was created on Winglin, an online fanfiction sharing community for the sole purpose of BASHING Phebs. Despite the author naming herself/himself as 'PHEBS HATER', i've a good idea who is actually the author to this bashing link created on a fanfiction sharing community.
The author made it such that it seem as if the "fanfiction" is written by a close friend or fan of BC, however, i personally believe nobody will be as INCONSIDERATE to stand up for your friend in this manner. It's plain wastage of badwidth, and if you understand how millions of other winglin users desperately want to read some of their favourite fics and find that winglin is down due to certain inconsiderate users who create bashing links on a fanfiction sharing community.
Firstly, it is not right to discuss your own hatred on a fanfiction sharing community. Even if the discussion should be carried out, it should be at a discussion site or at the author's own site. The purpose of a fanfiction site is NOT to bash people. Bashing chapters which are full of coarse language does not count as proper chapters either. This is considered SPAM.
Secondly, this can be deemed as cyber bullying. Depending on which country you're in, there is a different level of importance to it. For example, Singapore, the country that i'm in now. If I'm being bullied online, i can actually make a POLICE REPORT of this. This is how serious it is, but it depends on an individual's country of course.
A couple of days after the fiction to bash Phebs was out, another bashing fiction was created on Winglin to bash BC and the author was named Phebs. The posts were vulgar and i deem the author as someone who has yet to receive proper education or receive enough proper education to know that this is not the way to speak (or type, in this case). I trust that this person is a poser and definitely NOT Phebs, for all the while i've known her, she's proven herself to be someone who is helpful and definitely WILL NOT resort to such means, let alone scold someone vulgarly.
The manner this so called 'Phebs' posts on the "fiction" to bash BC is exactly the photocopy of how PHEBS HATER posts on the "fiction" to bash Phebs. I strongly feel that the author beind both "fictions" are actually the same person, and might very possibly be BC herself to make it appear as if she is the victim of this whole affair.
However, if BC is indeed the author behind this two "fictions", then it is not just purely cyber bullying, but imposing of an individual as well.
Looking at how closely similar the writing style of both "fictions" are - both being really vulgar - i have a few suggestions made, if the author ever stumbles upon my blog.
I suggest this imposter, Phebs-wannabe, to just go home and study for exams instead of wasting life doing such a NONSENSICAL things to make everyone hate on you. NOT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT, and honestly, this time can even be used to at least brush up
your English standard to Phebs' standard before even attempting to pose as her. All that's done now is purely cursing and swearing. Doesn't seem like how an educated person acts like. Or maybe your brain wasn't switched on when you curse and that's why you can differentiate what is suitable to type and what not to?
Your parents must be feeling ashamed to have a child like you who is a wanna-be (to even name yourself as Phebs) that dare not even post with the name you were given by your parents and only knows how to bash people instead of studying.
They've wasted their efforts in bringing you up, i pity them.
And before i forget, there should be some basic respect to people who are actually older than you, even if the person is older by just a day or a couple of minutes alike.
And to BC, if you're still trying to argue that Phebs has copied your work in some manner, dish out proper proof to the table instead of just claiming that she has copied your work or writing style. If you're unhappy she wrote a BoJoong fic, then I'm returning what you've said to Phebs on behalf of her to you.
BoJoong? They don't belong to anyone. Everyone start using them in fictions because they saw the chemistry in them, duh!And to say that you LOOK DOWN on your readers because they're underaged and yet
begs you for more of the mature contents you write about? You're underaged yourself, why are you even writing mature contents in the first place? If you think people are just trying to gain attention and get your readers by mentioning your pen name in their fanfiction titles, are you writing mature themes just to attract readers as well? If you're
that great a writer, you don't even have to write about mature themes and you'll have tons of readers. Nobody can get anyone's readers unless their fictions are of quality and the reader themselves choose to read. There's also no rule stating that the reader can
only read your mature-themed fanfictions.
As for critisms, i don't think you can accept it that well, or you must be thinking the world of yourself. There are reasons why there are book critiques, movie critiques etc. It is all meant for the improvement of the work. Unless you are the world's ABSOLUTE BEST, you'd need critisms to improve. And to be the cream of the crop? That's more effort than you can imagine, and i guess more a thousand times more effort than you've put in now.
Better creators are dime a dozen out there and as compared to them, to be honest, you might not even be worthy to be of comparison yet.
I believe through this incident all fellow netizens will be warned of the
childish and
insolent behaviour displayed by BC and prevent yourself from becoming her next victim, and that she shall soon receive a taste of her own medicine because what goes around comes around.
